About Kinslee Strong Non Profit
Kinslee Strong is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children and families navigating the challenges of Pediatric Congenital Heart Defects (CHD). Our mission is to provide compassionate care, practical resources, and a strong community network to families facing the emotional, financial, and medical hurdles that come with CHD, while also supporting research and advancing treatments to improve outcomes for children everywhere.
The organization was inspired by the courageous journey of Kinslee Curtis, a young girl who underwent open-heart surgery at just eight years old. Her resilience, bravery, and spirit serve as the heart of our mission, reminding us that even the smallest acts of support can make a profound difference.
Founded on the principles of compassion, hope, and community, Kinslee Strong transforms the generosity of our supporters into meaningful impact. Through programs, events, and partnerships, we strive to lift families up, raise awareness about CHD, and contribute to medical advancements that save lives.
We are proud to be recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization by the IRS.

Through compassion, advocacy, and action, Kinslee Strong exists to stand in the gap for families in crisis and to be a part of the greater effort to transform pediatric healthcare outcomes for the better.
Kinslee Strong Story
Kinslee Strong was officially founded on March 26, 2025, following the powerful wave of support that surrounded eight-year-old Kinslee Curtis and her family during a life-altering medical crisis. Diagnosed with a serious congenital heart condition—Coarctation of the Aorta—Kinslee’s battle captured the hearts of thousands as she bravely underwent open-heart surgery. What began as a heartfelt fundraiser to help cover medical costs quickly evolved into something much larger: a mission to turn pain into purpose, and community strength into lasting impact.
Seeing firsthand how critical early intervention, emotional support, and access to quality care are to a child's outcome, the Curtis family was inspired to create a nonprofit organization that could extend that same support to other families facing medical crises. Unfortunately, Kinslee did not have the benefit of early intervention, as no one caught the issue during any of her appointments. This gap in care deeply influenced the family's mission. Kinslee Strong is more than just a support network—it is a growing force for change. The organization is dedicated not only to helping children and families through some of the most challenging times in their lives but also to collaborating with medical professionals and researchers. One of its core missions is to fund advancements in pediatric care, with the aim of increasing survival rates, extending lifespans, and enhancing the quality of life for children battling life-threatening illnesses and conditions.
With every prayer, donation, and shared story, the Kinslee Strong community helped build the foundation of a legacy—one that will continue to uplift families, empower medical teams, and advocate for brighter futures for children in need. What started as a community’s response to one little girl’s courageous fight has grown into a powerful nonprofit with a heart to heal, a mission to serve, and a vision for lasting hope.
